Is MIKUN safer than selling on Trade Me or Facebook?

Yes. Every item is professionally authenticated, photographed and listed across curated luxury channels — protecting both your piece and your privacy. No public profile, no negotiations, no risk.
What commission does MIKUN charge?

Our commission is tiered on the final sale price: 20% below NZ$5,000, 17.5% from NZ$5,000 to NZ$9,999.99, and 15% from NZ$10,000. You keep 80%, 82.5% or 85% respectively. There are no upfront fees — you only pay when your item sells.
How long does selling with MIKUN take?

From submission to listing typically takes 7–14 days, depending on item arrival and authentication complexity. Most luxury bags sell within 30–60 days of going live.
How and when do I get paid?

By bank transfer to the account you nominate, within 30 days after your piece sells or, if later, after the buyer's return window closes. You receive the final sale price less our commission and any deductions set out in your agreement.
Which luxury brands does MIKUN accept?

We focus on heritage luxury houses including Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Celine, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Prada, Fendi, Loewe and Goyard. Selected fine jewellery and watches are also reviewed.
How do you authenticate luxury handbags?

A multi-stage process combining brand DNA review, serial and provenance checks, expert specialist authentication and Entrupy AI verification where applicable. Every approved item receives a MIKUN authentication certificate.
What happens if my luxury item does not sell?

Your consignment runs for 90 days from authentication. If your piece hasn't sold by then, we will suggest a revised price, which only goes ahead with your written agreement, or return it to you. It remains your property throughout and you can ask for it back at any time; return shipping and insurance are charged at our published rates.
Do you accept items from outside New Zealand?

Yes — we accept items from Australia and internationally. As with any consignment, you arrange fully insured, tracked shipping to our Auckland atelier, and our insurance covers the piece from the moment it arrives.
