1. Our Philosophy
At MIKUN, every item is carefully curated, inspected, authenticated and professionally photographed before being offered for sale.
As we specialise in authenticated pre-owned luxury goods, each piece is unique and may display signs of prior ownership consistent with its age and condition.
We are committed to presenting each item as accurately and transparently as possible, allowing customers to shop with confidence.
2. Authenticity Guarantee
Authenticity is fundamental to everything we do.
Every item sold by MIKUN undergoes a detailed authentication process before listing, which may include specialist review, technology-assisted authentication, provenance assessment and supporting documentation where available.
MIKUN guarantees that every item offered for sale is authentic.
Should an item be determined to be inauthentic by MIKUN following review of credible supporting evidence, MIKUN will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with this policy and applicable consumer laws.
Any authenticity concern must be reported immediately upon discovery.
MIKUN reserves the right to conduct its own authentication assessment before approving any claim.
3. Nature of Pre-Owned Luxury Goods
All items sold by MIKUN are pre-owned unless expressly stated otherwise.
Natural signs of wear may include:

Corner wear
-
Surface marks
-
Softening of leather

Hardware wear

Interior marks
-
Age-related changes
These characteristics are not defects and do not constitute grounds for return where accurately disclosed through photographs and item descriptions.
Customers are encouraged to review all images, measurements and descriptions carefully prior to purchase.
4. Change of Mind
Due to the unique nature of authenticated luxury resale goods, MIKUN does not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for:

Personal preference

Colour expectations

Size expectations

Fit expectations

Buyer's remorse

Finding an alternative item after purchase

Delays caused by couriers beyond MIKUN's reasonable control
All sales are considered final except where required under applicable consumer protection legislation or expressly permitted under this policy.
5. Eligible Return Circumstances
A return request may be considered only where:
A. Incorrect Item Received
The item supplied differs materially from the item purchased.
B. Significant Undisclosed Condition Issue
The item contains material damage that was not disclosed in the listing and would reasonably affect purchasing decisions.
C. Authenticity Concern
The customer provides credible evidence raising a genuine authenticity concern.
6. Inspection Period
Customers must inspect their purchase immediately upon delivery.
Any return request must be submitted within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
Requests submitted after this period may not be accepted.
To initiate a claim, customers must provide:

7. Conditions of Return
Approved returns must satisfy all of the following conditions:
The item must:

Remain unused following delivery

Be returned in the same condition supplied

Include all original accessories and inclusions

Include any authenticity cards, certificates, dust bags, straps, locks, keys, receipts or packaging supplied

Include all MIKUN security tags and seals intact
Returns will not be accepted if:

Security tags have been removed or tampered with

The item has been used after delivery
-
The item has been altered, repaired, cleaned or modified
-
Additional damage has occurred after delivery

Components supplied with the item are missing
MIKUN reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet these requirements.
8. Verification Upon Return
For customer protection and fraud prevention, all returned items undergo:

Serial number and hardware verification

Security tag verification
Refunds will only be issued once the returned item has successfully passed inspection.
If MIKUN reasonably determines that the returned item is not the original item supplied, has been altered, or has been damaged after delivery, the return may be rejected.

Where a return is approved, MIKUN may provide:

The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the issue and applicable legal obligations.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
10. Shipping & Transit Risk
Customers are responsible for ensuring approved returns are packaged securely and shipped using a fully insured and trackable service.
Ownership and risk remain with the customer until the item is received by MIKUN.
MIKUN is not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged during return transit.
11. Consignment Purchases
Many items sold through MIKUN are sourced from third-party consignors.
Where a refund is approved, MIKUN will manage the return process directly with the customer.
Customers acknowledge that replacement items may not be available due to the unique nature of consigned luxury goods.
12. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact MIKUN directly regarding any issue before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
Where a chargeback is initiated and the item remains in the customer's possession, MIKUN reserves all rights available under law to recover the item, purchase price, associated costs and losses.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under:

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand)

Fair Trading Act 1986 (New Zealand)

Any other applicable consumer protection legislation
Where an item fails to comply with statutory consumer guarantees, customers may be entitled to remedies available under law.
