Celine Nano Luggage in Smooth Calfskin
Phoebe Philo's Luggage gave Celine its silhouette. Introduced in 2010, the winged front and zipped pocket read as a face — a piece of design so recognisable it defined the house for a decade. The Nano is the smallest of the family and the one that has aged best: structured enough to hold its shape, small enough to wear crossbody.
This example is smooth calfskin with the aged-gold hardware of the original era, a finish Celine deliberately antiqued rather than polished. Later production moved to drummed leather and lighter fittings, which makes the smooth-and-gold combination increasingly difficult to find.

Chanel 2.55 Handbag
Designed personally by Coco Chanel in February 1955 (hence the "2.55" moniker) to free up women's hands, this bag was famously reimagined by Karl Lagerfeld in 2005 to the exact archival specifications of the original. It features iconic Aged Calfskin leather (giving it its distinct, vintage crinkled patina), diamond quilting, an all-metal rectangular "Mademoiselle" turn-lock closure (named because Mademoiselle Chanel never married), and a beautifully intricate flat link metal bijoux chain.
