Authentication, Curation, Care

Every piece at MIKUN passes through the same three quiet gates: authentication, curation, care. This is what they mean.

When you choose a piece from MIKUN, you are choosing more than a beautiful bag. You are choosing a process — one we have built slowly, carefully, and with intention.

These are the three quiet commitments behind every piece we offer.

1. Authentication

Every piece is reviewed by hand. We study the leather, stitching, hardware, structure, stamps, date codes and overall integrity of the bag. Where useful, we consult specialists and reference materials.

A piece is only listed when we are confident in it. If we are uncertain, we walk away.

2. Curation

We do not list everything we are offered. We choose pieces that meet a quiet standard — pieces with presence, condition, wearability and longevity. Pieces we would happily carry ourselves.

This means our offering is intentionally smaller and more considered than a typical marketplace. That is the point.

Less, chosen carefully, will always feel like more.

3. Care

Each piece is gently cleaned, conditioned where appropriate, photographed in honest light and described accurately — including condition notes. We do not hide wear. We simply explain it.

Packaging is considered. Communication is human. The handover, whether by post or in person, is meant to feel like the beginning of something — not the end of a transaction.

Why this matters

Pre-loved luxury only works when trust is foundational. Our customers should feel confident, looked after and known. Our sellers should feel respected. The pieces themselves should feel quietly honoured at every step.

That is the MIKUN promise. Not loud. Not performative. Simply true.

Thank you

For trusting us with your wardrobe, your stories, and the beautiful pieces you choose to carry forward.
